Eyeing Improved SAP, EVO Payments Locks Down Delego Purchase

Global payments technology provider EVO Payments announced it has purchased SAP firm Delego Software, EVO said in a press release on Tuesday (Sept. 10).

Delego has deep roots in technology and was originally launched in 1997 as an SAP consulting business. It is now among the most powerful SAP companies for B2B users.

EVO’s B2B customers have already used Delego’s SAP integrations and payment solutions under an earlier partnership agreement, according to the press release. EVO Payments and Delego co-marketed their solutions to offer more services to a larger customer base.

“We are excited to announce EVO’s acquisition of Delego,” stated Brendan Tansill, EVO president, the Americas. “Delego brings us additional integrations and product capabilities, enhancing our B2B offering on a worldwide basis. We look forward to leveraging Delego’s secure cloud-based solutions as part of our B2B payments offering as this underpenetrated market continues to experience significant growth.”

The acquisition of Delego now further broadens EVO’s ERP integration solutions to include SAP enterprise application software and proprietary B2B payments solutions. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, the release said.

“We are thrilled to take this next step in our relationship with EVO,” said Delego President and CEO Scott Johns. “EVO’s strong sales focus and partner relationships will allow us to expand our distribution to new customers. Additionally, our streamlined integrated payments solution will improve the experience of our existing customers.”

Delego in May rolled out PayCenter, an SAP-integrated tool for invoicing and payments to digitize and streamline accounts receivable. The self-service Electronic Invoice Presentment and Payment (EIPP) tool supports the accounts receivable and billing needs of larger merchants that interact with customers across multiple channels. Payers can manage their invoice transactions and view transaction history, while merchants can accelerate the order-to-cash cycle and reduce days sales outstanding by simplifying management of outstanding invoices.
